IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY OR SOCIAL CONNECTION

As a psychologist, connecting with the community can do wonders in improving your natural health, including;

Community connections instill a sense of belonging in individuals as you socialize with more people around and form bonds with new people, enhancing your social life.

Spending more time with members of your community can be a source of motivation for your life goals. Sharing ideas with like-minded individuals brings new creative ideas on staying focused in life and achieving your dreams.

Being understood socially or connected to certain people can boost your life quality, especially when you practice healthy lifestyle habits as one.

It can improve your mental health by lowering isolation or loneliness feelings, stress, depressing thoughts and increasing your happiness sources. The community can offer immense support towards mental issues as you get to confide in those around you and get quick help in critical situations like when crossed with suicidal thoughts.

People with good social connections have a longer lifespan. You get to be more physically active as you get involved in numerous community activities, happier, with less mental troubles, and feel loved where you belong hence lesser death risks.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
