Tofu is a soy food, which contains isoflavones- estrogen in plants believed to alter hormonal function in the body. It was thought to increase blood estrogen levels upon consumption, which could cause breast cancer.

Tofu is beneficial in many ways. For example, it helps reduce menopause symptoms, such as hot flashes experienced due to hormonal imbalance in women. It also manage your cholesterol levels by reducing the LDL levels and boosts the working of endolithium tissue lining the heart and blood vessels. This reduces chances of contracting coronary heart disease.

5. Will tofu cause man boobs? Please debunk this myth and explain it won’t and why.

No. While tofu contains estrogen hormones, there is no evidence showing the effects of causing boobs in men. It is a myth and no medical literature supports it.
