Do you know what wobble boards are for? And can you explain how to use them?

Wobble boards, also called round balance boards enable movements, such as front to back, side to side, or in circular motion. They are mainly used in rehab centers to treat leg injuries or training people to prevent falls and sports injuries.

How to use them

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, and on the board’s edges,
  • Stay upright with a straight back.
  • For proper balance, focus your eyes at one point in front of you.
  • Let your hands hang on the sides, and move your weight to help prevent the edges from getting in contact with the surface.
  • Remain in this balance position for around 30 seconds.
  • If you want to move forth and back, tilt the board to the front until it touches the surface, then tilt it back the same way. For side to side and circular movements, tilt towards those directions.
